Selling a few items from the original Chicago Stadium. I went to the auction in 1993, just before they tore the stadium down. They had many items for sale, I was lucky enough to win a few items that day without going completely broke. (The net Jordan made his final shot through went for close to $25k 😳).
I'm not selling these items for much more than I have invested in them, however, u won't find these items listed very often anymore either.
I'm a huge Blackhawks fan, but the decor no longer goes with my country style house theme.
The items have been stored away in my basement for many years, and could all use a good cleaning.
The chairs are numbered, and I have one set of 3 chairs. The chairs do come with a letter of authenticity.
I have only cleaned the chairs, so all the paint, stains, and gunk are original. I removed the back of the middle chair and took it to a "meet n greet" several years ago and had Denis Savard sign it.
I have a Chris Chelios plaque with two sports cards on it. In decent condition, just a nice wall hanger.
And finally, the "odd one"!
I wasn't exactly sure what this was when I bid on it. Ends up that it's a HUGE cold air return grate that was in one of the hallways at the stadium. It was absolutely disgusting when I won it 🤮, so I took it in and had everything blasted to original and they professionally painted it. I put all my hockey photos from my childhood all the way up to the time I tried out for the team, and hung it up on the wall.
Very, VERY cool piece! Also comes with a letter of authenticity 👍.
